    Another pulsating week in the Champions League Twenty20 has come to a close, leaving us to decide on the tournament's team of the week.

    With two convincing victories over the past seven days, one would expect the Chennai Super Kings to feature prominently in this team. The same could be said for the Otago Volts, Rajasthan Royals and Titans.

    The past seven days in the CLT20 has also witnessed a couple of magnificent hundreds, while a number of bowlers have claimed impressive four-wicket hauls in extremely brief spells.

    So after the conclusion of the most telling week of the tournament so far, here's a look at the Champions League team of the week.

1. Neil Broom

    Team: Otago Volts

    Best Performance: 117 not out off 56 balls vs. Perth on Wednesday

    A blistering hundred from Neil Broom powered Otago to a massive victory against the Perth Scorchers at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Wednesday.

    His mammoth innings, which saw the opener face just 56 balls, included nine fours and eight thunderous sixes as he sent the Scorchers bowling attack to all corners of the ground.

    His team ended up compiling an enormous total of 242-4 on the back of his performance, completely humiliating their opposition

2. Quinton De Kock

    Team: Lions

    Best Performance: 109 not out off 63 balls vs. Otago Volts on Sunday

    Quinton de Kock has been touted as the finest keeper-batsman to come out of South Africa since Mark Boucher.

    On Sunday, he showed exactly why.

    His stunning hundred, which included 10 fours and five sixes, pushed his team to a competitive total of 167-4 against Otago at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, only for the Lions to lose after a one-over eliminator.

    The star of the show also smashed 10 runs off the first two balls in the Lions' one-over tiebreaker, but fell just short of carrying his team to a dramatic victory.

    Although the Lions are winless this week, de Kock has given them a reason to smile.

3. Suresh Raina

    Team: Chennai Super Kings

    Best Performance: 84 off 57 balls vs. Sunrisers Hyderabad on Thursday

    The Chennai Super Kings have been mightily impressive this week in recording two resounding victories, the first of which saw Suresh Raina as the team's shining light.

    His brilliant 84 from just 57 balls at JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi steered his team to a stunning total of 202-4, which was simply too much for their opponents to overcome.

    He also registered a quick 23 on Saturday, when the Super Kings comfortably chased down the 137 they were set by the Brisbane Heat.

4. Ryan Ten Doeschate

    Team: Otago Volts

    Best Performance: 66 off 26 balls vs. Perth Scorchers on Wednesday

    After Neil Broom had done the damage at the top of the innings, Ryan ten Doeschate simply added to the Scorchers' pain.

    His blistering 66 from just 26 deliveries, which included six enormous sixes, simply buried Perth as Otago raced to their mammoth total of 242-4.

    As far as hitting goes, ten Doeschate completed one of the finest exhibitions in the Champions League this week.

5. MS Dhoni

    Team: Chennai Super Kings

    Best Performance: 63 not out off 19 balls vs. Sunrisers Hyderabad on Thursday

    A simply remarkable innings, MS Dhoni once again showed why he's a force to be reckoned with in the Twenty20 arena.

    In a single over from Thisara Perera, Dhoni launched five towering sixes as he simply destroyed Hyderabad to set up his team's opening victory of the week. His innings contained eight sixes in total, plus one four, and was unquestionably the most memorable innings of the week.

    Dhoni also smashed a six to complete a comprehensive hammering of the Brisbane Heat on Saturday and looks in fine form as Chennai aim for Champions League glory.

6. James Neesham

    Team: Otago Volts

    Best Performance: 52 not out off 25 balls vs. Lions on Sunday

    With his team looking down and out in their chase against the Lions on Sunday, James Neesham smashed a brutal 52 not out from just 25 deliveries to tie the game and force a one-over decider.

    His two fours and four sixes lit up the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur as he pushed the game towards a dramatic finale.

    Yet he didn't stop there.

    Neesham was thrown the ball for the one-over tiebreaker, and although he went for 10 runs from his first two deliveries, he found a way to contain the Lions for the remainder of the over to secure a famous victory for Otago.

7. Darren Sammy

    Team: Sunrisers Hyderabad

    Best Performance: 50 off 25 balls vs. Chennai Super Kings on Thursday

    Set an enormous 203 for victory by the rampant Super Kings, Darren Sammy did all he could to give his team a chance of victory.

    His 50 from just 25 deliveries, which included five sixes, briefly provided a glimmer of hope for Hyderabad after what initially seemed like an insurmountable total.

    Yet it hasn't just been with the bat that he's been impressive. 

    Sammy completed an impressive spell with the ball against Trinidad & Tobago on Tuesday, compiling figures of 2-21 from four overs, limiting the West Indian outfit to 160, which his team eventually chased down.

8. James Faulkner

    Team: Rajasthan Royals

    Best Performance: 2-15 off four overs vs. Perth Scorchers on Sunday

    Continuing to enhance his reputation as an elite limited-overs bowler, James Faulkner has completed a couple of outstanding performance this week for the Rajasthan Royals.

    On Sunday, he completely shut down the innings of the Perth Scorchers, finishing with 2-15 from his four overs. His efforts saw Perth set a total of just 120, which was easily chased down by Faulkner's Royals.

    The versatile left-armer also performed much the same role against the Lions on Wednesday, taking 2-22 from four overs to set up another victory for his side.

9. Sunil Narine

    Team: Trinidad & Tobago

    Best Performance: 4-9 off four overs vs. Sunrisers Hyderabad on Tuesday

    You simply can't leave out the man with the best bowling figures of the week.

    Sunil Narine finished with an utterly superb 4-9 from four overs against Hyderabad on Tuesday, strangling the Indian-based outfit as they looked to cruise towards their target of 161.

    With Rayad Emrit going for an appalling 57 runs from his four overs, Narine provided the required spark to give Trinidad a chance in the match.

    Although the performance fell short of rescuing his team, his figures were extremely impressive considering those of his teammates.

10. Pravin Tambe

    Team: Rajasthan Royals

    Best Performance: 2-15 off four overs vs. Perth Scorchers on Sunday

    Pravin Tambe has been the most effective spinner in this week of the Champions League, proving his worth in the batsmen-dominated Twenty20 arena.

    The leg-break bowler claimed 4-15 against the Lions on Wednesday, decimating the team's middle order as they strived to chase down the Royals' 183-5.

    Tambe was at it again on Sunday, claiming a further 2-17 from four overs to help limit the Perth Scorchers to just 120.

    A great week for the almost 42-year-old.

11. Dale Steyn

    Team: Sunrisers Hyderabad

    Best Performance: 2-23 off four overs vs. Chennai Super Kings on Thursday

    While his teammates were being sent to all corners of the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi on Thursday, the world's premier fast bowler did all he could to avoid the massacre.

    Dale Steyn's 2-23 from four overs was the standout performance of his team's effort with the ball, as Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni tortured Hyderabad.

    The South African quick put in a similar performance against Titans on Saturday, finishing with 1-23 from four overs as his teammates again let him down.

    Despite his team's results, Steyn has been outstanding.
