Connor Shaw Injury: South Carolina QB Sprains Shoulder
Connor Shaw appeared to injure his shoulder once again in the first quarter of the South Carolina game against UCF. Robert Flores from ESPN tweeted that Shaw ran off the field holding his right shoulder. The No. 12 Gamecocks were down 7-0 against Central Florida when Shaw came out of the game.
Josh Kendall from The State reports that the PA announced it was a shoulder sprain for Shaw and that there was no word on his possible return.
Ryan Wood tweeted that Shaw is out for the remainder due to that right shoulder strain.
Losing Shaw will be a pretty big blow to this offense. He's thrown for 661 yards and six touchdowns this season with zero interceptions. He's also been a threat with his legs, running for 202 yards already this year.
The Gamecocks will now have to rely on Dylan Thompson until Shaw is able to return, if or when he's able to. Thompson has gone 8-for-10 this year with 104 yards, a touchdown and an interception.
