James Harrison Steals the Spotlight

Alice MeikleCorrespondent IMay 19, 2009

Of all the sound bites to make its way to the airwaves, I wouldn't have imagined to hear one from NFL Defensive Player Of The Year, James Harrison.

As far as I am concerned, Harrison's last attempt of 15 minutes of fame, was that cheap shot he took at Aaron Francisco, in the last Super Bowl.

But instead of quietly walking away from the spotlight, he decides to surface once again, with the award-winning most moronic comment of the century.

Harrison recently told a news station that if President Obama wanted to see the Pittsburgh Steelers, he should invite them to the White House down the road, when they are not the champs.

Unfortunately, for Harrison, he is insisting on shaking things up, as far as tradition is concerned.

But he failed to think about the historic moment for his team.

Mike Tomlin and the Steelers achieved a historic milestone together, and will mark another milestone meeting the first African American president.

Again, as far as I am concern, James Harrison does not get it.

Please James, give up being a moron for just one minute and be part of the team.

But if you choose to do the "White House Hold Out", the show must go on with out you.

Where can I comment?
