John Wall's Recruitment Over, Commits to Kentucky
Highly regarded recruit John Wall gave a verbal commitment to the University of Kentucky Tuesday, ending weeks of speculation about his ultimate destination that ranged from Memphis and Miami to Kansas and Duke. Wall, a North Carolina native considered the top overall high school prospect, joins one of the most talented recruiting classes to have been seen in a very long time, and possibly one of the top five classes ever.
Kentucky’s class includes Wall, a pair of Alabama players in center/forward DeMarcus Cousins and point guard Eric Bledsoe, Oklahoma center Daniel Orton, Kentucky wing John Hood, and Florida wing Darnell Dodson, a JUCO transfer.
If you are a star counter, this class includes FOUR FIVE-STAR PROSPECTS and TWO FOUR-STAR PROSPECTS.
This recruiting class, along with the return of likely preseason All-American Patrick Patterson, gives UK a monster team that will be a leader in preseason polls. If UK can get junior scoring machine Jodie Meeks to return, look for Kansas and Kentucky to be playing for it all in April.
