As a huge Thunder fan, I can't help but to be excited for their very first NBA Draft.

There are many great college basketball players out there, and in the first round, one of them will land in Oklahoma City. We will soon know who.

One thing is for sure. I am not betting on Blake Griffin staying in his home town.

The chances are slim for Oklahoma City to get the No. 1 pick. That is what it will take to land Griffin. There is some talk about trading up, but I do not see it happening. Griffin will be a superstar. Whoever gets the first pick will likely hold on to him.

The good news is that the Thunder are well on their way. Season one was a success even though the wins were scarce. Sam Presti has the team in build mode. He will go out and get a player who fits the team, regardless of what pick they have.

In December, most predictions pointed to the Thunder getting the top pick. The Thunder changed that in January. New additions and better coaching took Oklahoma City out of last place. The improvement was visible.

I really wish Oklahoma City will luck out and get the No. 1 pick.

I really want to see Griffin play for the Thunder. I just think that no matter who they pick, Presti and the Thunder administration will do the right thing and send this team to the playoffs in the near future, with or without Griffin.
