Prior to Monday, former Redskins cornerback Fred Smoot's most memorable NFL legacy was likely his role as the organizer of the infamously ribald “Vikings love boat” trip in 2005. During an hourlong interview with D.C. radio station 106.7 The Fan on Monday, the nine-year vet, who retired in 2009, let the world in on a nickname for Redskins coach Mike Shanahan that may last even longer in the public consciousness.
