So what looks to be an easy schedule all things considered.

There are only three teams that had winning records in 2007 that the Dolphins are scheduled to play which include the New England Patriots (16-0) twice as always, the San Diego Chargers (11-5) and Seattle Seahawks (10-6).

Other than a couple of .500 teams from last year, we play a pretty dismal group.

Ignoring the Jets (4-12) from our division, Miami plays the St. Louis Rams (3-13), Oakland Raiders (4-12), Kansas City Chiefs (4-12), San Francisco 49ers (5-11), Baltimore Ravens (5-11), Denver Broncos (7-9), Houston Texas (8-8), and Arizona Cardinals (8-8).

Based on a quick check, it seems the Dolphins are in a three-way tie for 22nd in terms of strength of schedule. I actually thought they would be lower, but playing the Patriots twice probably is what gave them the boost.

Either way, I'll take it.

It would be nice having a good team heading into a year like this as they would almost certainly be in the playoffs. I say almost because a couple years ago that was suppose to be the story and the Dolphins fell flat on their faces.

Nevertheless, this is a rebuilding year, and I'll be happy with wins this year, emphasis on the word being plural.

The law of averages is with them. It would be difficult to go through another 1 win season

The division is unfairly tilted toward the Pats. Three teams rebuild while one kicks them in the teeth twice a year. I think the NFL should have yanked their highest round 1 pick or both. Them cheating is like your big brother using brass knuckles in fight. He knows he's bigger and tougher but he still wants to cause you pain.
In reality the whole AFC is tilted toward the Pats year after year and now our first round pick could cripple us from a money standpoint for a long time. Level ground no, fair no, the NFL wants the Pats to be near the top so they smacked their hand and said "bad Pats no cheating, wink wink, see you next year at #1!"

Oh I agree entirely. With how the NFL draft actually is, the Patriots really lost absolutely nothing at all here.
