Florida State freshman quarterback Jameis Winston is a local celebrity at FSU, but the school's not ready for the "Jesus" comparisons that one t-shirt creator has made.

According to TMZ, FSU's athletic department has issued a cease-and-desist letter to a fan selling shirts with Winston portrayed as Jesus Christ on the front of them. The fan, who is choosing to remain anonymous, reportedly sold 100 shirts at $20 a piece in one day.

TMZ reports that the NCAA could punish FSU if it feels the school isn't doing enough to prevent profits off of a player's likeness, and there are concerns that the screenprinted image is sacrilegious.

Hat tip to CBS Sports for the find.
