The New York Giants are in the midst of a horrible offensive showing against the Carolina Panthers, and wide receiver Victor Cruz is one of the biggest fantasy stars that has suffered.

Eli Manning tossed for just 119 yards, only 25 of which can be accredited to Cruz. These yards were gained on just three receptions.

Cruz had been a fantasy stalwart for owners over the past two seasons and continued that consistency into Week 3's matchup in Carolina. He had hauled in three touchdown passes in two games and 236 yards on 13 receptions.

Even after his poor showing this week, fantasy owners need to stick with Cruz into the coming weeks.

Manning has struggled mightily getting the ball to his receivers with consistency this season (blame both his offensive line and lack of a running game), but Cruz is arguably his favorite option and will be targeted with regularity this season.

Owners should not look to trade Cruz after a down week, and those who sit him for Week 4 will be upset when he posts his usual production. The Giants didn't award him a new contract to not have him featured in the offense, and Cruz will be given plenty of opportunities over the top of defenses and in the end zone.

Keep him active through thick and thin.
