Matt Forte's Updated 2013 Fantasy Outlook After Week 3
Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte continued the trend of rushers having success against the Pittsburgh Steelers defense in his performance in a winning effort on Sunday Night Football.
Forte tallied 87 yards on 16 carries, including his first touchdown of the season in a 40-23 win. A player who has a knack for doubling as a receiver, he also caught four passes for 24 yards.
The Bears haven't shied away from Forte as their feature back through the first three games, as he's notched 18.3 carries per game so far in 2013.
As Chicago improves to 3-0, it looks more and more likely to remain one of the NFL's best teams and that will give them a lot of leads and plenty of opportunities to pound the rock. That just means more stats for Forte.
There's no doubt that, when healthy, the 27-year-old is one of the best fantasy options at any position in the NFL. You'd have to be stacked at running back to not have Forte as one of your top two backs.
His versatility in the passing game only adds to his value, as he entered Week 3 as one of three Bears players with over 100 receiving yards on the season.
As long as the Bears keep rolling and getting early leads, Forte will continue to flirt with the 100-yard mark game in and game out.
