FULL TIME: 0-1
There's the final whistle. Spurs win 1-0 thanks to Paulinho's late, late goal.
It's harsh on Cardiff, but Tottenham kept attacking until they finally earned a goal.
Give credit to David Marshall, though. The Cardiff keeper was immense.
Corner for Spurs, who take it short and keep the ball in the corner.
MORE ON THE GOAL
It's cruel on Cardiff, but it's also a well-worked goal by Spurs.
Lamela wins a header outside the box, then receives a pass from Holtby on the right side of the area. He squares for Paulinho, who finishes neatly with his heel.
Paulinho scores the winner for Spurs!
Holtby plays in Paulinho, who has a one-on-one with Marshall.
You won't be surprised to read that Marshall saved once again. What a match he's had today.
Four minutes of stoppage time.
Kyle Walker cranks a shot from long, long range. He hit it well, but that was speculative at best from the Spurs man.
Holtby passes to Lamela on the right side of the box. Lamela's cross is cleared by Cardiff.
Lewis Holtby replaces Christian Eriksen for Tottenham.
Kane curls a shot wide from the left.
Tottenham make their second change.
Harry Kane replaces Andros Townsend.
Odemwingie gathers the ball in the box, beats Vertonghen to the line and pulls back for Gunnarsson, who leans back and blasts over the goal!
Big chance for the hosts to nick a winner!
Second change for the hosts. Don Cowie replaces Craig Bellamy.
Lamela crosses from the left. It's blocked, but the ball comes right back to him.
His second cross reaches no Tottenham attackers. Disappointing.
Spurs make a change. Gylfi Sigurdsson departs. Erik Lamela enters.
Dawson brings down Kim cynically to stop a Cardiff counter. Booked.
Cardiff look the team more likely to score at the moment.
Kyle Naughton loses out to Craig Bellamy, and the Cardiff man feeds Peter Odemwingie in the box. The Spurs defence stands off, allowing Odemwingie to shoot…
…but he curls his effort wide of the back post.
Naughton blasts a shot over the bar from the left side of the box.
Cardiff make a straight change in the attack. Peter Odemwingie replaces Fraizer Campbell.
Free kick for Spurs on the right, just outside the box.
Townsend blasts his low shot into the wall. The ball trickles out to Dembele, whose shot is weak. Easy save.
A suggestion for Spurs:
Need some natural width. Shift Townsend left, bring on Lamela.— Dan Fitch (@DJFitch) September 22, 2013
Bellamy breaks through two Tottenham defenders and passes to Whittingham, who flashes a pass across the face of goal.
Lloris had to let that one go, but no Cardiff player was around to turn it in.
Decent opening for the hosts.
Marshall made six saves in the first half. He's well on his way to even more this half.
Sigurdsson drives to the line on the left, pulling back for Paulinho.
Paulinho pokes the ball on target, and Marshall saves again!
