Colts vs. 49ers: Live Score, Highlights and Analysis
Colts 27, 49ers 7
The 49ers drop to 1-2, losing their second consecutive game for the first time under head coach Jim Harbaugh. There were more injuries and a serious failure to devise and execute a potent offensive game plan.
The Niners look to be completely unraveling here early in 2013 and only have three days to get a laundry list of problems corrected before facing off against the division rival St. Louis Rams on Thursday Night Football.

And the Colts defenders come up with an interception off the deflection.
This was ugly.
Public Enemy No. 1: Greg Roman
Didn't see whole game, but why exactly did the 49ers get away from Gore? Finally was tearing it up. Too few touches.— Eric Edholm (@Eric_Edholm) September 22, 2013
What Happened to the 49ers?
This team is in complete disarray right now, and it seems to be stemming from the offensive play-calling. The 49ers had a nice drive early on that was largely supported by the run but abandoned the ground game since. Kaepernick struggled to find any open receivers with Vernon Davis out and all the attention on Anquan Boldin.
The Niners defense held on early, but it eventually became too much for them when San Francisco's offense could not stay on the field.

Lots of ink spilled about Trent Richardson this week, but it's Ahmad Bradshaw with 95 yards and a rushing TD for Indianapolis.— Matt Barrows (@mattbarrows) September 22, 2013
#49ers hasn't lost back-to-back games since 2011; only 1of 3 teams to do that... 2:55 left.— Mindi Bach (@MBachCSN) September 22, 2013
Ahmad Bradshaw 1-yard TD run puts #Colts up 27-7 with 2:55 remaining. FYI: Colin Kaepernick has a career-low 86 passing yards as a starter— Cam Inman (@CamInman) September 22, 2013

Colts are threatening to score again to pile it on.
Frank Gore ripped osf huge chunks on that 2nd drive. 6 carries since. Stupid.— Dylan MacNamara (@DylanMacNamara) September 22, 2013
The 49ers are desperate for some outside speed to open things up. They have been forced to play half court football.— Daniel Jeremiah (@MoveTheSticks) September 22, 2013

With a road game against the division rival St. Louis Rams on Thursday, the 49ers might be in panic mode sooner rather than later.
They'll drop to 1-2 after today with no semblance of an identity in a shortened week.
Colts 20, 49ers 7. Andrew Luck scores on a bootleg to pretty much seal it at Candlestick.— NBC Bay Area (@nbcbayarea) September 22, 2013
Andrew Luck keeps it on the bootleg, out-running and out-gunning Colin Kaepernick at his own house.
Colts take a commanding 20-7 lead with only a couple minutes left in the game.

49ers Already Throwing in the Towel...
And with 10 minutes left, no less. That's just sad.

Just 10 points in last 7 quarters for the 49ers. Where is Greg Roman?— Matt Miller (@nfldraftscout) September 22, 2013

Kaepernick sacked on third down.
It is coming down to the wire here. It doesn't appear that the 49ers have anything in their playbook today that can get past this Colts defense. Kaepernick is not seeing the field, receivers are not getting open, players are hurt and San Francisco has stopped running.
Pending a miracle, it looks like the Niners will fall to 1-2, losing a second-consecutive game for the first time under Jim Harbaugh.
