The gray, overcast skies looming large over East Lake Golf Club on Saturday morning were the perfect representation for how the third round went for Tiger Woods.
As he looked to put a disappointing second round behind him, Woods was unable to conjure up enough momentum to cause a stir on the Tour Championship leaderboard.
Woods was only able to make two birdies during his third round, and they came late in the round on the 14th and 15th holes.
By that time, Woods' potential move up the leaderboard was just a fantasy.
Woods did shoot a one-under 69 in the third round to put him at three over overall, but with tournament leader Henrik Stenson lighting up the grounds at Atlanta, Tiger is nowhere close to pulling off a final-round comeback on Sunday.
