Finding out how your favorite players were rated is part of the fun in getting a new video game, and LeBron James has earned himself the game's top rating.
Ronnie Singh has been releasing ratings via Twitter, so follow him to see his early releases.
James' rating of 99 was a no-brainer. However, everyone wants to see how the rest of the stars are rated in comparison to the top player in the world.
NBA 2K14 will be released on October 1, so be sure to get a copy to see all of the official ratings. For now, keep reading to see which stars have been rated the highest through the early releases.
LeBron James, Miami Heat (NBA 2K14 rating: 99)
There is absolutely no way anybody can disagree with this rating. If anything, James may be rated too low.
James has won four NBA Most Valuable Player awards in the last five seasons, and he has won back-to-back NBA Finals MVP awards. He is at the top of his game and nobody in the league can even come close to matching him.
He has averaged around 27 points, 6.7 assists and eight rebounds per game over the last two seasons. The world's top player has just put up unreal numbers on his way to winning consecutive rings.
James in an explosive offensive player who can do everything, and his defense is just as strong.
There's only so much numbers can say about James. He's the best in the game, and his rating in this game certainly backs it up.
Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City Thunder (NBA 2K14 rating: 94)
If any top star has a beef with his rating, it may be Kevin Durant. A rating of 94 doesn't seem to be as high as one might expect, but in comparison to James, this is a fair rating.
Durant is the second-best player in the league. He deserves a high rating, but he shouldn't be within four points of James, which he's not.
His rating dropped by one point in this year's game, but he is still an elite player. The talented forward is routinely near the top of the league in scoring, and he will be unstoppable in the video game.
Durant will continue to improve his rating on an annual basis, so nobody should be upset with this rating as he continues to work on his all-around game.
Chris Paul, Los Angeles Clippers (NBA 2K14 rating: 94)
There's no arguing who is the NBA's best point guard. Chris Paul is by far the finest at his position, and his rating reflects that.
Paul averaged 16.9 points and 9.7 assists last season, and he will thrive under new coach Doc Rivers.
The point guard has made the Clippers the best team in Los Angeles, and his style of play will make him tough to defend in the game. He can make any pass there is, and he can score when he wants to.
Paul continues to show improvement, and he has become one of the league's premier defenders. He has been named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team three times (including the last two seasons), and the Second Team twice.
His overall game makes him the league's best point guard. He is tied with Durant for the second-highest rating in the game, and Paul deserves to be among the highest-rated players in the game.
