Barcelona are being paid £25 million a year to wear Qatar Airways sponsorship on their shirts, according to the Daily Mail, so it was only ever a matter of time before the Catalan giants' biggest stars were asked to do a cheesy advert.
And here it is, although it's actually rather good.
Lionel Messi can be spotted teaching ball control as if it's ballet, while Carles Puyol for less obvious reasons heads a falling plantpot and breaks it into a number of tiny pieces.
In the meantime, there are appearances from a juggling Neymar at the airport, Sergio Busquets, Andres Iniesta and others.
There's even a quick cameo from Gary Lineker, a seasoned star of adverts these days after years promoting Walkers crisps in the UK. His years at Barcelona in the 1980s have clearly earned him a recall for this particular promotion.
The ad was released three weeks ago, although it has now just begun to appear on television in the United Kingdom.
"A team that unites the world," is the somewhat ambitious strapline (ask the staff at Real Madrid whether they agree).
Even so, if you're going to be sold something for 90 seconds, there are worse ways for it to happen.
