Expected to have already been available for retail, the Nike Free Trainer 7.0 "Warren Sapp" and Nike Free Trainer 5.0 "Cris Carter" have received an updated release date.

Both the Sapp edition and Carter edition now have a set release date for October 5, per the Nike Release Dates page.

The shoes were expected to hit the Nike Store on September 18, but the online retailer confirmed the date change via Twitter.

Many customers were curious as to when the trainers could be added to shopping carts. Nike Store previously confirmed the release date in early September on Twitter, but the shoe did not show up on the website during this scheduled release time.

Sapp and Carter were both inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on August 3, and the Nike shoes pay tribute to their success.

Sapp first introduced his shoe to followers on July 13 via Twitter, while Carter first introduced his shoe to followers on July 23 via Twitter as well.

Sapp is currently an analyst for the NFL Network. Carter is an analyst for ESPN.

The Sapp shoe is decked out in a black digi-pattern while the insole features a Tampa Bay Buccaneers logo. Red gym accents the Flywire, tongue and outsole. The shoe is embedded below.
