In the coming days, former NFL superstar Michael Vick will be released from prison. On May 20, Vick will begin working with a trainer and start football-related workouts.
How would he fit as a back-up to Matt Cassel?
Vick will finish his final two months in home confinement in Hampton,VA. The Atlanta Falcons still own the rights to Vick, but are looking to release him to any takers.
The three-time Pro Bowl quarterback still is in great shape and can still be a threat to most defenses. The Kansas City Chiefs still have not made a decision on Tyler Thigpen's status yet.
The Kansas City Chiefs still have money to spend, and if they acquire Vick's services, I think would be a plus to the team.
If Cassel does not pan out to expectations, I can certainly see Vick running the offense. Yes, there's a lot of chances involved but i see this as: "food for thought."
