World Football Hero of the Week: Kaka

Ryan Bailey@ryanjaybaileyFeatured ColumnistSeptember 19, 2013

This week's hero has been adored in Milan ever since he first pulled on Rossoneri colours in 2003.

He's been away for a few years, but now Kaka is back at the club where he developed a fearsome reputation to became FIFA World Player of the Year, a Ballon d'Or victor and a Champions League winner.

However, in his first Serie A game since departing for Madrid, the Brazilian playmaker picked up a thigh injury that could keep him out of action for a month.

Despite the setback, the 31-year-old has cemented his heroic status at the San Siro by refusing to collect any salary until he is fit to play again.

There aren't many players in the world who would go that far to show their dedication to their club.
