The Oklahoma City Thunder continue to bank on their limitless internal potential.

With a roster still planted with players in their early-to-mid 20s, can the Thunder realize enough of their developmental ceiling while matching pace with improving Western Conference competitors?

Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook will keep getting better, but how much more so? Will Reggie Jackson and/or Jeremy Lamb fill the void left by James Harden and then Kevin Martin?

Can Serge Ibaka be the third star and not just the third wheel? Is Scott Brooks adaptable enough as a coach?

Unless this supporting cast begins to take great leaps forward, the Thunder are flirting with a John Stockton and Karl Malone Utah Jazz future: good enough to stay in the hunt during the right years but lacking the overall firepower and depth to take down the elite teams in the end.
