How can you not after watching that video?
If you aren't unbelievably pumped up for the Memphis Grizzlies' season now, you probably need to hit replay and pay a little bit more attention. Between the dramatic music, the portion that shows the bitter defeat at the hands of the San Antonio Spurs and all the positive highlights, there's plenty of heart-pounding footage to be found.
The Grizzlies deserve to be excited for this 2013-14 campaign.
Even though they weren't particularly close to beating the Spurs in their postseason series, each of the games was tight. A few made shots could have swung the whole event, and Zach Randolph certainly isn't going to forget how to make buckets around the rim again.
Now Memphis is returning all of its key pieces and has added a few perimeter shooters—Mike Miller and Jamaal Franklin, in particular—who will try to push the squad over the top.
Again, there's a lot to get excited about.
The Grizz aren't quite elite, although they would be in the Eastern Conference. They figure to compete for a spot in the true upper echelon, battling it out with the Oklahoma City Thunder, San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Clippers, Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors for Western Conference supremacy.
Potential for that coveted elite status is there, and the season preview up above is certainly a great way to convince fans that the potential can be realized pretty early on in the proceedings.
Hang on, I'm about to make some popcorn and watch that video one more time. Anything to get me even more excited for 2013-14.
