Alabama Denies That They'll Be Wearing 'Blackout' Jerseys Listed on Their Site

Earlier today, Throw The Flag spotted some jerseys on Alabama Athletics' official online store labeled "Blackout Game," which had the Internet buzzing about the potential of seeing the Tide rocking black at some point this season.

While the news was exciting and the jerseys looked incredible, a sports editor at the school's newspaper said the school would updating the site with proper verbiage to avoid confusion, thus shooting this idea down.

Unfortunately, even if the school hadn't denied reports, NCAA rules require numbers to be "clearly in distinct contrast with the color of the jersey," so these likely would never be able to be worn.

What do you thinkshould Alabama do blackout jerseys at some point this season?
