Edwin Encarnacion Injury: Updates on Blue Jays Star's Wrist, Likely Return Date

A disappointing season for the Toronto Blue Jays has just soured even more with the news that Edwin Encarnacion will be out with a wrist injury.

Shi Davidi of SportsNet, initially reported the first baseman would undergo surgery on his left wrist:

Surgery on left wrist for Edwin Encarnacion, Brett Cecil to DL with elbow discomfort.

Encarnacion's surgery was reportedly successful.
