Zach Johnson climbed the leaderboard on Monday to win the BMW Championship at Conway Farms Golf Club. His six-under Round 4 gave him a final total of 16 under par for 266 for a two shot victory.
Heavy rains wreaked havoc with play on Sunday. Like the rest of the leaders, Johnson did not begin his final round until Monday morning.
Opening the day three shots behind leader Jim Furyk, Johnson reeled him in on the back nine, eventually taking the outright lead with back-to-back birdies on 16 and 17 to seal the win.
Nick Watney shot a 64 to secure second place at 14 under, while Furyk finished third at 13 under par.
Tiger Woods finished even on the day at nine under par. His 315 FedEx Cup points for the 11th-place finish were enough to leapfrog him back into the No. 1 spot heading into the final event, the Tour Championship, next weekend in Atlanta.
Johnson's victory is his 10th overall on the PGA tour. The win moves him from No. 27 to No. 4 in the FedEx Cup rankings.
