Chicago Bears tight end Martellus Bennett collided with a cameraman while attempting to make a catch in the second quarter of Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Bennett tumbled out of the back of the end zone on the incomplete pass hurled by Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, and the talented 6'6", 265-pounder's legs swung and struck the crouched man filming the action:

The Chicago Tribune's Brad Biggs documented the discouraging development as Bennett was briefly on his back, but noted that the 26-year-old playmaker looked to be fine:

Shortly thereafter, the team's official Twitter confirmed that Bennett was cleared to return the game after brief examination:

After a injury evaluations, both Major Wright and Martellus Bennett are okay and will return to the game. #Bears #MINvsCHI

A mostly inconsistent career for Bennett has gotten off to a strong start in his maiden campaign in Chicago. In the new offense implemented by head coach Marc Trestman, Bennett has been a primary target in the passing game, catching three passes for 47 yards and a touchdown in Week 1's home win over Cincinnati.

The home fans at Soldier Field had more to cheer about with regard to Bennett on Sunday, as he had three catches for 21 yards and the Bears' first touchdown, a one-yard snag from Cutler.

It appears this mishap won't be anything significant enough to stymie the momentum of Bennett's promising start to 2013.
