Set those lineups, kick back in the recliner and prepare to monitor the world of fake football for hours on end—Week 2 of fantasy football has arrived.
A new slate of games means a new opportunity for fantasy owners to keep the ball rolling—or turn things around after encountering a guy named Peyton Manning in Week 1.
For some, the week has already begun with a dud. New England quarterback Tom Brady struggled against a New York Jets defense Thursday and has already put many in a fantasy hole. Thankfully, there is plenty of time for owners suffering the setback to turn things around if the cards are played correctly.
Regardless, last week's action has paved the way for another exciting week of teeth-grinding showdowns between fantasy superstars. It may be bright and early, but it's never too soon to begin evaluating Sunday's matchups as ESPN Fantasy Sports' Twitter ushers in the day:
Happy #FantasyFootball Sunday!— ESPN Fantasy Sports (@ESPNFantasy) September 15, 2013
It's a big day indeed.
Will LeSean McCoy continue to thrive in Chip Kelly's new offense after 184 rushing yards last week? Which Manning brother will better stuff the stat sheet when the two go head-to-head? Will Calvin Johnson wake up and justify his high draft selection?
Stories abound in Week 2, but one thing's for sure—the fantasy matchups on slate sure won't lack for entertainment.
Fantasy owners have awakened from a prolonged slumber after last week's slate of games, but the season is just getting started.
Crack the knuckles and enjoy the ride. Fantasy Sunday is here.
