And Jason Peterson of KATV passes along news that Allen is likely done for the day:
QB Brandon Allen back on sidelines without pads. His day most likely done after injuring shoulder on a TD dive. Next man up. #WPS— Jason Pederson (@KATVJason) September 14, 2013
Allen was 2-for-5 passing with 33 yards and an interception. He also had a five-yard run that resulted in the touchdown. He has since been replaced by backup quarterback AJ Derby.
Allen was solid in Arkansas' first two games, completing 61.5 percent of his passes for 355 yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions. Arkansas opened the year with victories over Louisiana-Lafayette and Samford.
It remains to be seen how serious this injury is, but after a promising start to the year any setbacks for Allen would be quite the disappointment, and an early hurdle to overcome for new coach Bret Bielema.
