It was a close game between division rivals, but in the end, the Texans were too much for the Titans to hold, and Houston came away with a narrow win at home.
It started off hot, with both Matt Schaub and Jake Locker throwing touchdowns on their opening possessions, but after that, it was all defense for the rest of the game.
The Titans defense showed that they bear little resemblance to the 2012 squad, as they sacked Schaub three times (once was taken away by a penalty) and intercepted him twice, with one of those resulting in a pick-six.
The Texans defense, of course, also showed that they weren't slouches. J.J. Watt sacked Locker twice, hit him four times, blocked two passes and tackled Chris Johnson behind the line of scrimmage two more times.
In the end, the Texans overcame the Titans in overtime when Matt Schaub threw the final touchdown to rookie Deandre Hopkins to seal the win.
Final Score: Texans 30, Titans 24
