Vanderbilt Wideout Chris Boyd Pleads Guilty to Obstruction in Rape Case

Vanderbilt wide receiver Chris Boyd pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of obstruction in a rape case on Friday morning, according to The Tennessean's Brian Haas and Tony Gonzalez

Haas and Gonzalez report that Boyd, 21, agreed to a deal with prosecutors that allowed him to avoid a felony conviction and will instead offer him a chance to have his record cleared if he can complete a probation of 11 months and 29 days.

Boyd has since been dismissed from the Vanderbilt football team.
