MLB Players Who Should Retire After This Season

Everyone knows this is going to be Mariano Rivera’s last season in a major league uniform. Joe Girardi may want him to come back, but the greatest closer of all time has made up his mind.

So that makes one longtime player who will be calling it quits in the near future. The question is: Who else should join him?

That’s the cue for B/R Pop Culture Lead Writer Gabe Zaldivar and MLB Lead Writer Zachary D. Rymer to start talking.

Gabe and Zachary have a few ideas for guys who should make the 2013 season their last in Major League Baseball. The guys they settled on play in Colorado, Cleveland, Texas and Kansas City, but they each have two things in common. One is that they’re really old, and the other is that they’re not what they used to be.
