Assuming he is still on the board, Jonathan Stewart from Oregon will be the fifteenth selection in the NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions.
They just cut Kevin Jones, and the only capable back is Tatum Bell who they sat pretty much the entire year in favor of Jones.
Bell is not a game changer; he might not even be a full season back.
With Lions management you never know, but that's my prediction.

People let me know if you think that will be the lions choice or am i wrong all together.

For starters, write more completely... do a little bit better analysis.
I disagree. The Lions will take Antoine Cason, CB, Arizona. The Lions have a crappy pass defense, but play the Tampa-2 zone. Cason is an elite college playmaker- watch his film- but can't run to keep up with NFL WRs. In the Tampa-2, that doesn't matter. Cason would be a huge addition for the Lions in this draft, and the great thing for them is that I don't think there's any way he'll be off the board.

First off I wrote "completely" secondly do you think the lions would have gotten all those defensive backs through free agency and trade to draft another defensive back in the first round? Doesn't make much sense.

It may not, I admit that I haven't followed the Lions' offseason as closely as other teams. I am primarily going off of conventional wisdom and my knowledge of the Lions this past season where their pass D was bad.
It is possible that I would change my prediction but I'm unaware of moves the Lions have made...
I would say if you write another article explain what, if anything, the Lions did in free agency, talk about all the Lions' needs, and then made your projection based on the information you've provided.
Who did the Lions sign, for example? Safeties or corners? Both?

If the Bears take Mendenhall the pick before, Stewart would be a huge pickup for Detroit. The guy is an absolute beast and should be even better in a pro formation than the spread offense he played in during college.
The only concern is how he holds up physically, as ankle and toe problems have plagued him the past two seasons. He doesn't have any serious long-term injury issues though.

First off Cason isnt even projected to go in the first round.
Second, the Lions are not going to draft Stewart, having surgery from turf toe can be very tricky, look how long Primetime was out with it.
I think the Lions are going to take what falls to them, OT, LB, or DE.
I am guessing the Lions are going to try and trade down to get an extra pick and I hope they take Lofton out of OK, that guy is a beast!!!

Derrick Harvey or best OT available or Branden Albert.
If none of those are left then Mendenhall or Stewart and hope Curtis Lofton is there for the 2nd pick.

does anybody remember Tatum Bell rushing for 1,100 yards for Denver. He did that as a second string back or a change of pace back. If given the chance, he can be a 2,000 yard back. Give him a break already!!
