The opening round of the BMW Championship at Conway Farms was a good one for Tiger Woods, but if not for a few short misses, it would have been sensational.
Tiger Woods fired a five-under-par 66, and he is within three strokes of leader Brandt Snedeker after the first round.
Despite his consistent play, Tiger missed three short putts on the fourth, sixth and eighth holes that could have put him in a tie for the lead.
Tiger's ball-striking was quite good throughout the round. He hit his irons crisply, and, while he had a few stray shots off the tee, he was never in any kind of trouble.
