According to Dr. James Andrew, as first reported by ESPN's Chris Mortensen, a labral tear in Mark Sanchez's right shoulder appears to be a season-ender for the New York Jets quarterback.

Sanchez injured the shoulder in second-half mop-up duty against the New York Giants on Aug. 24 in preseason action.

The final decision to undergo surgery has not yet been made, and rehab could be another option. Regardless, Sanchez's status for the season is in doubt, and so is his status as an NFL starter.

Will Mark Sanchez ever start an NFL game again?

NFL Lead Writer Aaron Nagler weighs Sanchez's options in this video. Be sure to watch and leave your prediction in the comments below.
