You have two options: Throw it out of bounds or take a safety. Michigan Wolverines quarterback Devin Gardner took a third option and paid dearly for it.
Even with the interception, Gardner had a very impressive game, going 21-of-33 for 294 yards with four touchdowns and the aforementioned interception. He also added 82 yards and one touchdown on the ground, leading Michigan to a 41-30 victory over Notre Dame at "The Big House."
