This slideshow will take you through some of the most intimidating places to play in "The World of Sports," at least North American sports. Sure, you can probably find crazier fans down somewhere in Argentina, but we'll leave this one up to the USA and Canada.

So get ready as I take you through some of the best sports venues you will ever see.

5. The Palace At Auburn Hills, Detroit

The Palace At Auburn Hills, home to the NBA's Detroit Pistons, is home for the rowdiest and most intimidating fans in all of Basketball.

Most notorious for the infamous Pacers/Pistons brawl, which involved an altercation between fans and former Indiana hothead Ron Artest, now property of the Houston Rockets.

While Detroit is down in the dumps due to the crash in the auto industry (no pun intended), the Lions dismal situation (hopefully it will get better with Matt Stafford's arrival), and the Tigers underachievement, the Palace has hosted some of Detroit's best sports moments in recent years.

4. The Bell Centre, Montrèal

Home to the NHL's most storied franchise, Montrèal Canadiens, The Bell Centre is host to rowdy fans. The difference here, however, is that there is an even balance between craziness and level-headedness, which is provided by the Habs' fans true knowledge of Canada's Pastime.

3. Heinz Field, Pittsburgh

In a hard-working steel town, it is only natural for the focus to be on such a Blue Collar sport. In fact, focus is the understatement of the century. The Steelers are pretty much Pittsburgh's pride and joy, and it is reflected in the way the fans at Heinz Field present themselves.

Swinging their Terrible Towels like banshees, screaming at the top of their lungs, they instill fear into the opposing team.

Add the fact that the field conditions are the worst in the NFL, and it becomes a sports venue for the opposition to have nightmares about.

2. Fenway Park, Boston

Home to the Boston Red Sox, and preferably pronounced "Fenway Pahk," this bandbox of a ballpark is the most sincere in all of baseball.

Unlike the new stadium in the Big Apple, you will find only die-hard's here, except for the few posers (did someone say Ben Affleck?).

The Green Monster in left field is one of the most well-known features of any sports venue. In the world.

All in all, Fenway Park is the apple of the Beantown eye.

1. Cameron Indoor Stadium, Duke University

The residence of the infamous Cameron Crazies, no other sports arena rivals Cameron Indoor. The tradition of Duke Basketball, along with the ridiculously committed fans, make this a living hell for visiting teams, especially the hated UNC Tar Heels.

Sometimes funny, but often times just abusive, the fans will let you know as a player, who they are, and you better accept it.
