No. 25 USC Loses to Washington State in Shocking Upset
Among the long list of storied programs that folded in a big way Saturday, none were more lethargic than the No. 25 USC Trojans in a shocking upset loss at home against Washington State, 10-7.
CBS Sports summed up the Trojans' struggles:

The Trojans' quarterback carousel continued into Saturday's game, with quarterbacks Max Wittek and Cody Kessler both getting a similar amount of reps with the first team offense.
However, both QBs struggled to say the least. Kessler went 8-for-13 for just 41 yards and a pick (3.2 yards per completion), and Wittek threw 3-for-8 for 13 yards and his own interception.
Running back Tre Madden was a workhorse, carrying the rock 32 times for 150 yards, but the Trojans offense never got going through the air with a lethargic 54 yards. USC posted less than 200 total yards.
Meanwhile, Washington State quarterback Connor Halliday went 26-for-38 with 215 yards, and orchestrated a game-winning drive late in the fourth that put the Cougars on top with three minutes left.
The Trojans' last-gasp chance to come back was short lived. Wittek had his pass intercepted by Damante Horton—who returned a first-half interception back for Washington State's only touchdown—at USC's own 37-yard line and it effectively ended the game.
USC's last five possessions went as follows: blocked field goal, missed field goal, loss on downs, punt, interception. It capped what was one of the worst performances offensively at home in the school's history, per ESPN Stats and Information:
