Oh how I love Twitter and the updates it brings me.

According to a Twitter post from the NFL Network's Scott Hanson, Brett Favre told NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell that Packers General Manager Ted Thompson is afraid of him coming back to play in Minnesota.

"He (Ted Thompson) doesn't want me going to Minnesota because he knows I'll kick his (expletive) twice a year!" Favre reportedly told Goodell.

There have been numerous reports since the summer of 2008 that Favre has wanted to go to Minnesota so he could beat the Packers twice a season. That appears much more evident now.

Favre retired from the Packers after the 2007 NFL season, but expressed a strong desire to come back. Thompson made it clear that they were moving on however, and that they would be open to trading the legendary quarterback. They later traded him to the New York Jets for what turned out to be a third-round pick.

If you had any doubts about Favre wanting to get revenge on Thompson for not allowing him to return to the team after he originally retired, you shouldn't anymore.

The only thing that could be holding Favre back from a second return to the NFL, this time with the Minnesota Vikings, is a bicep injury he suffered in the final part of last season when he played for the New York Jets.

According to reports, Favre has been talking with surgeon Dr. James Andrews about his options, and making it clear that he is very interested in making a return.
