Every professional sport has a player that is so talented that it seems as though he simply toys with his opposition and can do whatever he wants to do whenever he wants to do it.

In the sports world we call this a freak.

Here is my No. 1 freak in each sport:

NFL: Calvin Johnson

Since when does a 6'5" guy that weighs 240 pounds, run a 4.3 and have a vertical of over 40 inches? Mike Williams was 6'5" and definitely 240 pounds, but he ran about a 5.3. Johnson isn't nicknamed "Megatron" for nothing.

Last season Johnson led all WRs with 12 TDs despite having Dan Orvlosky as his QB for most of the year and had no supporting cast to speak of. There is no DB in the league that can hang with "Megatron" and he is probably the most talented WR to ever play in the NFL.

NBA: LeBron James

Not only the biggest freak in the NBA, but probably the biggest freak to ever live.

275 pounds? Check. 6-9? Check. Faster than most PGs? Check. Stronger than most PFs? Check.

LBJ's combination of power and speed has never been seen and if he keeps his eyes on the prize, will be the best player to ever lace 'em up. Look for LBJ to cap his remarkable season with his first NBA title this June.

MLB: Albert Pujols

Will this guy ever go a season without hitting .330 with less than 30 HR and 100 RBI? It doesn't look like it since he has done it each of his first seven years in the big leagues. He is a triple crown threat each and every year despite having the likes of Chris Duncan, Rick Ankiel, and Ryan Ludwick supposedly protecting him in the lineup.

For the life of me I don't get why teams don't walk him every time he's up a la Barry Bonds. He's already a two-time MVP winner and will finish with at least five when all is said and done.

NHL: Alexander Ovechkin

Talk about a human highlight reel. He's Barry Sanders on ice. If you think of the five most amazing goals in the last five years, "Alexander the Great" probably has four of them.

Ovechkin does it all. He has a rocket shot. He can skate. He can check and when need be, he will hit you and hit you hard. You might as well pencil him in with 50-plus goals each season for the next decade.
