Lakers 106 -Spurs 85: New Vs Old
The defending champs, the team that is professional, all business, the San Antonio Spurs, have fallen out of first place!
They played the Los Angeles Lakers and it looks like there is a new dominant team in the West after defeating the Spurs in blowout fashion, 106-85.
The Lakers played great defense holding the Spurs to a dismal 32 second-half points.
The Lakers used this game to showcase their team philosophy and depth as Lamar Odom was the only starter to play in the fourth quarter. Kobe scored 20 points while grabbing five rebounds and getting five assists. Lamar Odom had a good game with 17 points and a solid 14 rebounds.
San Antonio has struggled due to injuries to their hottest player as of late, Manu Ginobli, as well as Brent Barry and Robert Horry. The Spurs are hoping for them to be healthy for the playoffs.
Both teams have two games left and all Los Angeles has to do is win one more game to clinch first place in what has been a wid and exciting playoff race in the west.
