Arsenal went big on transfer deadline day, signing Real Madrid midfielder Mesut Ozil for a reported fee of £42 million, per Jeremy Wilson of the Telegraph.

It was a move completely at odds with the Gunners' famously cautious approach in the market, one that appears to signify a new dawn in North London.
