New head coach Bruce Arians led a tight offseason program. Can he lead the Cardinals to the playoffs in 2013?
Welcome to the 2013 NFL season. This piece is intended to give you complete coverage of the Arizona Cardinals as they try to improve upon a 2012 campaign in which everything that could have gone wrong did go wrong.
Rock bottom was Week 15, the now infamous 58-0 drubbing at the hands of the division-rival Seattle Seahawks. It was the worst loss in franchise history and perhaps was the last straw team president Michael Bidwill had for former head coach Ken Whisenhunt.
Roughly half the players on the 53-man roster are new over last year, not including the complete overhaul of the coaching staff and new general manager Steve Keim.
To get you ready for the new season, the following list of articles has been written by yours truly and fellow Bleacher Report FC Andrew Nordmeier.
On a scale of 1 (low) to 5 (high), how much confidence do you have in Bruce Arians turning the Arizona Cardinals around?
We predicted the Cardinals’ record this season, along with which players will walk away with awards such as team MVP, team rookie of the year, etc. We also included statistics for many of the key players on the roster—we even took it as far as to grade every position on the depth chart (which has proven to be a controversial piece).
What questions do you think the team must address heading into Week 1? Is there a statistic that stuck out to you that a player, in your opinion, can or cannot reach? What about the record?
Do you agree with Andrew on the Cardinals missing the playoffs despite upgrading key positions this offseason?
