From Stefan Coerts of Goal.com:

"For me, Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player in the world," Bale told the press. "His presence played a big part in my decision to join Madrid. It will be an honour to play alongside him.

"What about penalties and free kicks? Ronaldo is the boss here at Madrid. Let's see what he says. I don't need to help Ronaldo to be the best in the world - he has already shown it."

From the Metro:

Real Madrid are preparing to follow up their £86million world record signing of Gareth Bale by making a £45m swoop for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez.

Sources in the Spanish capital have revealed that Real are ready to offload some of their key men in order to fund the move for the Uruguay international, who has a £40m release clause in his contract.

The transfer window slams shut at midnight on Tuesday in Spain, and Real Madrid have finally got their man.

Gareth Bale has finally been confirmed as a Real player, via Javier Garcia of the team's official website, signing with the club on a six-year deal.

However, the signing of another Galacticos normally sees exits, and Reuters has the following report:

Brazilan midfielder Kaka will return to Italian club AC Milan after four years at Real Madrid, according to local media reports.

The Gazzetta Dello Sport said the 30-year-old would sign a two-year contract with the club to end a difficult period with Real, where he has made only 82 league appearances since joining from Milan in 2009.

Meanwhile, Sky Sports reports Arsenal is closing in on signing German midfielder Mesut Ozil.

Youngster Denis Cheryshev is "to join Sevilla on loan until the end of the season," via Football Espana, but most eyes will be focused on Kaka, Ozil, Karim Benzema and Angel Di Maria—the latter duo having also been heavily linked with the Gunners, via Sami Mokbel of the Daily Mail.
