Boston Red Sox right fielder Shane Victorino left Sunday's game at Fenway Park against the Chicago White Sox with a hip contusion.

Mark Daniels of the Boston Herald initially reported that Victorino looked to have re-injured his hamstring, and noted that he was substituted for Jonny Gomes:

It looked like Shane Victorino just hurt his hamstring again. Jonny Gomes now in. Jackie Bradley Jr. will probably be on speed dial

That thankfully wasn't the case, because according to NESN.com's Jenny Dell, the two-time All-Star's ailing hip should only keep him out on a day-to-day basis:

Shane Victorino left the game with a left hip contusion. He's considered day-to-day #RedSox

Victorino won't miss any more time as he returned Red Sox's lineup on Sept. 2, according to Rob Bradford of WEEI.com.
