Mesut Ozil to Arsenal: Gunners Sign Real Madrid Star

With the summer transfer window closing, Arsenal have reportedly acquired Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid. 

Wayne Veysey of Goal.com has confirmed Ozil's transfer from Real Madrid to Arsenal:

Mesut Ozil is now an Arsenal player. Fee: £40m. Contract: 5 years, £130,000-a-week. Club-record signing & highest (current) earner.

BBC Sport first reported that Arsenal and Real Madrid agreed on a deal for the 24-year-old player:

Arsenal have since confirmed the deal.
