For the past year rumors have been floating around that five time World Rally Champion was going to retire from rallying and try his hand at everything from sports car racing to Formula one.

Well, it looks like we can put those rumors to rest.  According to various contacts Sebastien Loeb looks set to drive for Citroen and stay in the WRC until the end of 2011.

Reports out of France have Citroen ready to announce a continuation of their World Rally Championship program beyond this season and their sporting division head, Olivier Quesnel is pushing hard to ensure Loeb stays with the team.

Quesnel commented: “Citroen wants to stay in rallying and I've got the budget for the new [S2000] car. Sebastien will stay with us for as long as he wants and I'm quite sure for the next two years he'll be there.”

Loeb said: “When [Quesnel] proposes me to sign for next year I will, maybe, sign but he wants to know more about the [technical] regulations first.”
