Chelsea have had an interesting August until this point, but the Blues still have some moves to make with a few of their key players standing a chance to depart before Monday night.
Most recently, the signing of Samuel Eto'o shocked many in the Blues fanbase and has now left the team with more questions than answers.
As a result, the Blues have a bit of excess they can part ways with, and as the deadline looms, they should be pretty busy over the next few days as Demba Ba, Victor Moses and Fernando Torres could potentially leave.
Here's a peek at some potential departures from Chelsea.
After the signing of Eto'o, the future of Ba with the Blues has come into question. However, it appears those questions will quickly vanish as Chelsea are exploring their options with the striker.
According to John Cross of the Daily Mirror, the Blues are looking to loan Ba to another squad at a price of £3 million, although that is thought to be a bit stiff for one season.
Among the suitors for Ba are his former club Newcastle and West Ham, but the price is thought to be a turnoff in any potential deal, per Cross' report. More specifically, Newcastle have interests elsewhere if the price is too high for their liking.
While moving Ba seems like a nice idea for Chelsea, their price may have to come down if they have any realistic hopes of moving him before the deadline. He still remains one of the more likely players to move before Monday night.
The Chelsea winger has been rumored to be a potential departure before the deadline passes, and Cross' report in the Daily Mirror lists Southampton, West Brom, Liverpool and Crystal Palace as top suitors for Moses.
According to Hannah Duncan of the Metro, Liverpool could emerge as a favorite to land Moses on loan, which would be ideal for Chelsea since they aren't exactly willing to let him go. In turn, it appears Moses isn't against the idea of moving to Anfield in order to play under Brendan Rogers.
Not to mention, his former teammate Daniel Sturridge made the move to Liverpool and has done well.
Duncan's report also adds Stoke City and Norwich as being interested in the winger, so clearly there is much interest and a strong possibility Moses is playing elsewhere real soon.
Another potential casualty of the Eto'o signing is Torres, who looks to be a possibility to move on from Chelsea in the coming days no matter what happens to Ba.
According to Darren Lewis of the Daily Mirror, the Blues are listening to offers for Torres, who has seemingly fallen out of favor with boss Jose Mourinho after seeing a lot more of the bench than he is used to thus far in the new season.
With this lack of playing time, it's likely Torres is looking to make a move in order to help prove himself enough to make Spain's World Cup roster, so the mutual desire to cut ties is certainly there.
It isn't clear just how much Chelsea are looking for in return for Torres' services, but the Blues laid out a ton of money (£50 million to be exact) two years ago to bring him in. They won't come anywhere close to getting that now.
