Why I Love The Pittsburgh Steelers

Having been born and raised in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, there is only one team in the NFL that I can root for: The Pittsbugh Steelers. You see, if you root for any other team in Pittsburgh is as if you're saying you hate every one that lives in and around this gritty blue collar town.

The Steelers have a great tradition in every aspect of the game. From the Rooney family, who in my opinion are the greatest owners in all of sports to Mike Tomlin who is quietly building a resume as one of the best young coaches in the game.

Now that's not to say that there haven't been any moments of heartbreak in the lives of Steeler fans. Every one of us remembers Tim McKyer getting burned by Tony Martin and catching the go ahead TD pass in the 1994 AFC championship game.

The great thing about Steelers fans is that even in the face of all that adversity and heartbreak we are still loyal to our team.  Through thick and thin the Terrible Towel will be waving in Heinz Field and there will be 65,000+ in the stands to cheer on the winningest team in the NFL.
