One would think the highway is a safe place for NASCAR drivers.
Tell that to four-time Sprint Cup Series champion and three-time Daytona 500 winner Jeff Gordon, whose tour bus went up in flames on the side of a Georgia interstate on Wednesday.
According to MyFoxAtlanta:
They say no one was hurt, and the fire did not spread to a car hauler trailer which was being pulled by the bus.
Authorities said the vehicles appeared to be part of Gordon's merchandising team, and Gordon was not present.
Gordon and his crew were likely heading toward the Avocare 500 race at Atlanta Motor Speedway, which takes place this Sunday.
