Former WWE Diva Eve Torres is certainly keeping herself busy in her post-wrestling life: The star has snagged a role in upcoming action movie The Scorpion King 4.

Yes, if you were like me, your immediate reaction to this news was, "They made The Scorpion King 2? And The Scorpion King 3? What's next? The Scorpion King 5: Reloaded?"

But, hey, as I've noted in the past, the straight-to-DVD sequel genre is a lucrative one. Even WWE Studios has managed to find success in this area.

As Diva Dirt notes, the former Divas champion, who left the company earlier this year, has just finished filming her part for the movie in Romania. The film is scheduled to be released on DVD next year.

An official plot synopsis has also been released:

The deposed warrior king Mathayus embarks on his most dangerous assignment ever as he attempts to bring lasting peace to his troubled land. When he is betrayed by a trusted friend, Mathayus must marshal all his strength and cunning to outwit a formidable opponent who will stop at nothing to destroy him in an epic battle to the death.

Other notable names in the cast include UFC star Roy Nelson, Royce Gracie, Antonio Silva and famed kickboxing champion Don Wilson. Respected thespians Rutger Hauer and Michael Biehn also have roles in the movie.

As for how Eve will do in her first major acting gig?

Well, as an MMA instructor at the renowned Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy, she's certainly cut out for the physical aspect of it. Her fight scenes should be great. And the star undoubtedly has the good looks needed to make it in Hollywood.

But as for things like dialogue and line delivery? Eh, I might just let this Emmy-winning segment speak for itself.

Where can I comment?
