Serena Williams' Opponent Needs a Hug During the US Open

Francesca Schiavone had a tough first-round draw against Serena Williams in the U.S. Open.

After falling to 0-6, 0-2, Schiavone and Williams slogged it out on a 26-shot rally that Serena ended up winning, which drew sympathetic cheers from the crowd. Downtrodden, Schiavone asked for a hug from the ball boy.

Schiavone ended up losing 6-0, 6-1.

Hat tip to FTW for the find.
