While Ohio State is still busy putting together another impressive recruiting class for 2014, head coach Urban Meyer and his staff received the commitment from a highly touted 2015 recruit.

Eric Glover-Williams is the first Buckeye commitment of next year's class and is quite an addition for an already talented program.

Nothing like getting a head start on recruiting.

The 4-star recruit, who is from Canton, Ohio, told Brad Bournival of ESPN that the Michigan-Ohio State rivalry had a lot to do with his decision.

"I picked Ohio State because I see it kind of like how I see Canton McKinley and Massillon in high school," Glover-Williams said. "Going to college and playing for Ohio State -- Michigan is one of the biggest rivalries in the nation. I just wanted to be a part of that. When I left there, I felt like I was at home, so it was easy. It was Ohio State over everybody."

He received the Ohio State offer in December and unofficially visited the school in April. Although he held offers from West Virginia, Cincinnati and Tennessee, among others, he just couldn't say no to the home school.

Glover-Williams brings a ton of potential to the Buckeyes.

He's an athlete who can play cornerback, running back or wide receiver. He has terrific top-end speed, with a 4.50 40-yard dash time, per the ESPN report, and he is very elusive in the open field. While his 5'11", 165-pound frame needs to strengthen, Glover-Williams is a big play waiting to happen on either side of the ball.

He was recruited to play slot wide receiver, but he doesn't care where he lines up, per the ESPN report.

"I want to go and help the team wherever I can fit in whether it's a wide receiver, defensive back or special teams," Glover-Williams said. "I'm just happy to be at Ohio State."

Glover-Williams is simply another piece to a possible national championship puzzle. The coaching staff is working on a third straight elite recruiting class and is snagging elite athletes at nearly every position.

The newest recruit is the 87th best player in the 2015 class, and the 10th best cornerback, according to 247Sports.
